In the upcoming months, National Grid will be providing select businesses in Worcester with a new smart meter that will be the gateway to new online energy management tools, devices and pricing options. Participating businesses that have been selected for the Worcester program will receive access to a powerful online energy management portal and a mobile app that will allow customers to see how they use their electricity while providing greater control to help them reduce costs.
These new smart meter upgrades will also deliver two-way wireless communication which will help improve long term service reliability and our response time to power outages. Some customers will also receive a digital picture frame that at a touch of a button lets you see how much energy your facility is using. We feel that the benefits of the Smart Energy Solutions program are significant and will help our business customers make better decisions about how and when they use energy.
