Designed to help customers save energy and improve their energy lifestyle, several in-home technology options will be offered to participating residential customers. These in-home technologies include: an online energy management tool that provides expanded energy use data and customer controls, the option of adding a digital picture frame and/or a smart thermostat with Automated HVAC Control, or a package of advanced technology options. National Grid’s Smart Energy Solutions technologies will be provided to 15,000 pre-selected customers at no additional cost. National Grid expects to offer these programs and options later this year with customer choices to be completed by early 2014.
